Make a wish and place it in your heart. Anything you want, everything you want. Do you have it? Good. Now believe it can come true.
You never know where the next miracle is gonna come from, the next smile, the next wish come true. But if you believe that it’s right around the corner, and you open your heart and mind to the possibility of it, to the certainty of it, you just might get the thing you’re wishing for. The world is full of magic. You just have to believe in it. So, make your wish.
Do you have it? Good. Now, believe in it with all you heart
This is a little bit of an update post related to my previous posts about the Google workshop in Zürich and my Life Update and Dream post. Above all, this should be a motivational and further a smooth kick in the ass post. My friends Diana and Klara have posted very inspirational blog posts about motivation in German and I thought I like to do one in English. I see so many people that are no really happy with what they’re doing. How they are living their life. They say that they are not the lucky ones and that if something is going wrong it was just not meant to be. I would lie if I’d say I have never thought that way. I was never the prettiest one or the smartest one. Not the tallest, not the smallest and definitely not the loudest one. I thought that lucky people are just born to be lucky. That is actually a lie.
Let me tell you something!
You can be that lucky one too! You are the one in the driver’s seat! 10% is what life gives us and 90% is what we make out of it!
We all have the power to influence this 90% with a strong, positive attitude towards life and with the willpower to do something that matters. After finishing my bachelor, I had problems figuring out what or where I want to work. I wanted to work for a company like Google because deep inside I knew that nothing else would be the same match. Step by step I learned everything about the company and the more I read the more I felt empowered to do what it takes in order to talk to Googlers. When I got refused for the Google workshop, I didn’t give up. I simply didn’t give up. And where did it take me? Well, I am pretty happy to share with you the fact that I am going to do a summer internship at Google in London! Crazy right?! Well, do you smell that? No not the heavenly chocolate smell coming from the oven, it is the smell of possibility! I don’t care what it is that you are passionate about but I want you to follow that passion and never let go. No matter how hard life sometimes pushes you back, you can always decide to go forward and maybe I am old school but I believe that we can somehow force things with our thoughts. For good and bad. In the end, a positive mindset can never hurt. You can always blame circumstances or bad luck but in the end it is up to you!
Do you want to study? Do it! Do you want to be an astronaut? Do everything it takes to be one! Do you wish you would have more muscles on your legs? Go and train! Do you want to take amazing pictures with your camera? Watch 1000 Youtube tutorial videos and ask everyone that could help you to improve! It is worth it to step outside of your comfort zone. It is worth it to fight for something you really want.
I think I want to use this opportunity to thanks all these people who believed in me when I didn’t. Thanks for buying me all these books about google and never being annoyed of me talking about it. Thanks, mom and dad for spending a shitload and I mean a shitload of money on my „blog/hobby and on me. If I’ll figure out a decent way one day how to pay you back, I’ll do it for sure!

I absolutely love this post because I totally resonate with you. I think that YOU are the biggest controller in your life–you can do anything if you put your mind to it and you believe in yourself! If you can change your life, you can change others‘ too!
