Singapore is a city like no other. An although I never managed to visit this city without the badest weather. I am still in love with it. Oh and the food is amazing, go and see for yourself what I experienced in one-week SINGAPORE
Our journey did not (as you might expect) start in the heart of Singapore but on Sentosa Island. Sentosa is an island resort off Singapore’s southern coast, and you can approach it via cable car (most fun), pedestrian boardwalk (most sporty) or taxi (most expensive).I really enjoyed the Palawan Beach on south coast lined with food stalls and bar and healthy juices all the way.
The W Hotel also has the largest hotel pool in Singapore and of course, we did not miss the chance to have a famous (virgin) Singapore Sling. A refreshing cocktail made with pineapple juice, grenadine and original with gin, cherry-flavored brandy, triple sec, and Benedictine.
The first night we had dinner at the kitchen table and I really love the concept behind it. The kitchen table embraces the fact of family having dinner together at the kitchen table. Nothing fancy, nothing forced just this really comfortable feeling of being home far away went through me while I was collecting some plant-based ingredient for my miso soup. Around the tables, you have various kitchens representing different culinary foods and you can actually see how the food is prepared while eating.
it is also the place where you have breakfast and there we got introduced to the cutest tradition ever. You can choose your own mug from a vast collection of big, small, colorful, crazy mugs and then you can keep it during your stay. Feel like home feeling
When we arrived at St. Regis we felt like a princess and a prince and we were clearly underdressed. You immediately get a feeling of freedom and luxury once you step foot into the spacious entry hall. I was curious what to expect as I am really picky about food and often these places only serve very expensive meat and caviar.
Can you imagine my surprise when I was first a vegan 5-course menu the first night? I mean WOW! I would go back to this place anytime because they really take care of all of your dietary wishes. The food was excellent and I think latest at the dessert, where I was served a heavenly Berry Crumble with an apple sorbet, I cried and thanked the waiter a thousand times.

St. Regis is located really close to Orchard Street ( we always walked for less than 10 minutes) and you can go and explore from there. Once you are done with shopping, I recommend checking out the Spa where you can relax. Luckily for us, it rained a lot so we stayed inside and spend time in the bath until our skin was crumpled. It’s the BEST!
From Orchard-street, we walked to the famous ARAB Street and Little India. Those streets are so cute with small shops where you can get the best presents. Also, there is a cat cafe you should visit!
Last, I need to tell you about my first Chinese experience. Again, I was blown away how they managed to do a fully vegan 5-course menu. The flavors were amazing and I tried things I’ve never tasted before. Flavors in my mouth that I really did not know up until that point. It was a firework of veggies and mushrooms, herbs, and sauces. And I think it is safe to say that I managed to eat with chopsticks quite well! After that, I felt like the art piece Floating to Sukhavati from Li Chen in front of the St Regis Pool
The last day we spent at a less expensive but super fun place. It is called THE POD. The Capsule hotel. Make sure you check it out!

Kitchen by Food Rebel – Eat good, feel good, be a food rebel
I highly recommend the CINNAMON SPICED OVER N I G HT OATS and a SOURDOUGH TOAST WITH HOMEMADE PEANUT BUTTER on the side. If you are around for lunch try the VEGAN SWEET POTATO & CHICKPEA BOWL with Beetroot Hummus, Quinoa, Tofu-Avocado Mix & Tahini Dressing.
I don’t drink coffee but well-trusted sources told me that the coffee is da real deal! The place has a lot of vegetarian and gluten-free options and everything is well noted on the menu. I tried the Cold BUCKWHEAT SOBA NOODLES SALAD, with green papaya, asparagus & toasted seeds. I recommend to go for lunch and not breakfast as the menu has not too many vegan sweet breakfast options.
I can’t really remember a lot about this place because I think, I was in a food coma after 20 minutes. It’s a good thing in my case.

MAC n‘ CHEESE dream with Elbow macaroni and greens covered in a special homemade vegan cheese sauce, topped with coconut bacon. OMG
and the Avocado Toast with corn and vegan cheese…
and there is always space for dessert and that?s why
Realfood is a cozy place located in one of the thousand malls in Singapore. I thought it is perfect for a shopping break! (Don’t forget your jacket the AC is crazy in there!) So because it is really centrally located on Orchard Street and the food is really good, we went there twice. You might have spotted the amazing portobello burger on my Instagram.
So I had a Portobello Burger with potatoes and a mixed salad and the second time I went for the glutenfree Pasta with biodynamic sauce and yeast flakes (Fancy riiight?) And because I felt like something sweet and because I am weird, I ordered an almond hot chocolate and a piece of chocolate cake with the dish. CLASSIC
