I bet a lot of you are drinking smoothies. I mean why not? They are amazing and truly good for you! I have some friends who are not really into smoothies as they think they taste „too healthy“.
WELL, they never made a SUPER CREAMY CHOCOHOLIC SMOOTHIE BOWL
this smoothie bowl is a fusion between a super healthy nutritious smoothie and the flavor of the most sinful chocolate cake.
I’ve tried some chocolate smoothie bowls before and they all turned out quite thin. Therefore, I made this one with a small amount of vegan chocolate protein powder. I am not really into any supplements and I don’t think that the body needs extra protein besides the one I give him from my daily diet. However, the fact that my new protein powder from Superelixir tastes extremely good and really smells like chocolate (this is super seldom with other vegan protein powders!) I mixed it with the other ingredients and it turned out very, very creamy just as I LOVE it!
I enjoy smoothie bowls the most when they are thick enough that I can top them with all my toppings such as bananas, cacao nibs, pieces of vegan dark chocolate, cranberries, blueberries and pistachios. Further, I really like the intense chocolate flavor as you won’t taste the spinach or avocado that’s inside and you can easily enjoy it for breakfast. I CANNOT drink green smoothies for breakfast. CONFESSION!
But with chocolate, I can easily get my greens without even noticing it. WIN-WIN
Super creamy consistency (achieved with vegan chocolate protein powder)
Spinach for extra protein
Avocado for healthy fats and richness
„Nutella“ and cacao powder for fiber and more chocolate flavor
And natural sweetness from frozen bananas
Not only is this smoothie bowl very delicious and packed with nutrients and proteins it’s also very simple, requiring just 10 minutes to make and it’s entirely customizable. You can totally switch and exchange ingredients and make your own desired bowl.
If you wonder what the chocolate and white swirls are, I simply pour poured some coconut milk in and added a dollop of my homemade vegan Nutella.
- 2 frozen bananas
- ¼ avocado
- 1 cup fresh spinach
- ¾ cup almond milk
- 2 tbsp Superelixir raw chocolate protein powder
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- In a blender, combine the frozen bananas, avocado, almond milk, protein powder and cocoa powder.
- Blend until creamy and add more milk if you want it more liquid
- Decorate with toppings of choice
This smoothie bowl looks incredibly creamy! I like to use a chocolate protein powder for more creaminess and sweetness! 🙂 Beautiful way of topping the smoothie too <3

This sounds so delicious! I’m about to start Veganuary so am looking for high protein breakfast options (to replace my love for Greek yoghurt) and this sounds perfect!
