I am a big fan of simple math. Mainly because I don’t get complex math and I am not into numbers. However, in case of losing weight and having a healthy body, I think there is more than Input-Output= Dream Weight
Of course, you can workout for 2 hours and eating nothing but two donuts and a salad a day will make you lose weight. That’s nothing than logical. But I feel that people and especially young people feel pressured by this thought of eating less and less in order to reach their body weight or feel comfortable in their skin. They get angry because they are trying so hard to eat less than their skinny friends, but results are not showing and at the end of the day they are miserable and hungry.
This is quite a personal post stating my opinion that you can eat more like 1000 calories a day and still loose weight or at least not gaining weight. My example day (or days) show me eating between 2500 and 300kcal+. I am refusing to count the calories or noting them down here as I don’t like numbers as I said before. It’s always a little difficult to note down these example days as my days differ and I am trying to listen to my body when it comes to my calorie intake. there are days when i am hungry like a bear and a unicorn and an elephant together and there are days where I am stressed out and I eat significantly less (noooot so many days ;)) But since so many have requested this diary after reading my „I am losing weight on a 3000kcal basis?!!“ post, I thought it would help you guys to understand and see what my food is and when I eat it and so on. I will also film a little on Snapchat {vanilla-crunnch} but it’s Snapchat and when most of you guys are reading this probably my story is gone.(if you enjoy these Snapchat story and want more – Let me know!) Ok so having said that I just have one more little thing to add and I cannot say it more often. This is my way of eating and I am just trying to show you what it did or still does to me. I am eating on a plant-based high carb (high cal) basis not restricting on oil, salt or anything. I am trying to substitute store-bought sweets with homemade treats but I am also eating vegan burgers when I am out with friends. I am exercising (meaning everything from gym, going biking, hiking, yoga, running..) 5 times a week, which is a lot but I am feeling energized to do so and I actually really like it. It is all about finding your balance and I can inspire you by my way but just because something works for me doesn’t necessarily mean that it works for you too. I have always been lean but I haven’t always been happy. Always remember that the best diet is the one that makes you the healthiest and happiest.
I actually started this thing asking myself every Sunday if I am still happy and If the answer is not yes I am going to make a change.
If you are reading this and struggling with your weight or to love your body, I really hope you will find your way and if this post helps you in some way I am happy that I’ve written it. Always feel free to pop me an email when there is an urgent question or if you just want to ask more stuff that isn’t covered by this post.

I don’t believe in counting calories, either. You burn a lot of calories by digesting fiber and protein, which are harder to break down than carbs and fats–sometimes your body doesn’t even absorb all of the calories in one food (ex: almonds)! And, if you’re focusing your diet on clean, whole and real food, then you’re properly nourishing your body and you will know when to stop and when to start eating. I found that counting calories made me really obsessed about eating as little as possible, plus it’s a lot of tedious work that can be channeled into doing something else!

I’m so glad there are people in this world (women specifically) that has managed to break free of this idea you have to look a certain way, and you have to starve yourself to get there. I too fell off the common sense wagon for a few years, measuring myself, constantly comparing myself to other women, and I’m so glad I managed to break free of that.
Now I eat what I want. However, I only eat REAL FOOD. So nothing that comes in a package or lasts more than a few days outside a fridge. Nothing with added sugar, in fact, no processed sugar at all. I had some candy the other day and I felt physically ill for 2 days. In fact, I had some grapes the other day, and they did pretty much the same thing to my body. All that sugar from the grapes made me drink 5 litres of water in one day. 5 litres of water!!!!! I felt like the marshmallow man!!
Once you start eating real food and give up packaged food and the many types of poisons in it, you start to feel your body more. I used to think that when I felt bad, that’s just what happens when you get older. Whereas now I know that I can still feel the same awesome energetic way I did when I was in my early teens.
Having said that, be prepared to have this blog post shared and pinned and even stolen by every desperate person on the internet.
Either way, thanks for this post. It’s so refreshing to read some common sense on the internet for a change.
